SEMINARIO T.K. CHIBA - CONCEPCION - CHILE - 2009
Finalmente, después de grandes esfuerzos ,Taiga Aiki Dojo de Concepción pudo traer a Chile a Chiba Sensei. Como he escrito en las páginas de viajes, conocí a Chiba Sensei alrededor de diez años atrás mientras visitaba California por motivos de mi trabajo. Después de tantos años fue algo realmente especial ir a uno de sus seminarios y particularmente curioso que fuera en Chile.
El Seminario duró tres días, durante los cuales pudimos participar de clases dirigidas también por otros Sensei de Birankai Internacional, como Daniel Brunner (6to Dan), Piotr Masztalerz (4to Dan) y Miguel Moreno (3er Dan).
Durante los días en que practiqué en el antiguo dojo de Chiba Sensei en San Diego conocí a Miguel Moreno, quien entonces era como 3er Kyu.
Laura y Marco me acompañaron en esta aventura y al término de ésta concordamos en que fue realmente un buen viaje. La práctica fue un buen equilibrio entre nuevos movimientos y maneras nuevas de practicar, técnicas intensivas y entrenamiento duro de armas. Lo mejor sin duda fue el intercambio y el compartir entre distintos estilos que vinieron a este seminario a aprender de todos los Sensei.
Debo decir que fue grandioso ver y sentir nuevamente la energía y el temperamento Budo de Chiba Sensei. Me dijeron que actualmente está jubilado por lo tanto la única manera de estar en clases con él es ir a alguno de los seminarios que realiza alrededor del mundo. Siento que fuimos muy afortunados en tenerlo en Chile y por esto agradecemos a Taiga Aiki Dojo, por haber traído esta leyenda del Aikido a nuestro país.

Finally after a lot of efforts Taiga Aiki Dojo from Concepción, located at the south of the country, was able to bring Chiba Sensei to Chile. As i have written in the travel pages of the site I met Chiba Sensei around ten years ago while I was visiting California because of my job. After so many years it was certainly something special going to one of his seminars, and much more curious been held in Chile.
The seminar lasted three days in which we were able to participate in classes leaded also by other Sensei from Birankai International, such as Daniel Brunner (6th Dan), Piotr Masztalerz (4th Dan) and Miguel Moreno (3rd Dan). During the days I spent practicing at the old San Diego Dojo of Chiba Sensei I met Miguel, who by that time was only like 3rd Kyu.
Laura and Marco joined me in this adventure and at the end of it we agreed was really a good trip. The practice was a good balance between new moves and ways of practicing, intensive techniques and hard weapons training. Pretty much the best was the exchange and the sharing between the different styles that came to the seminar to learn from all the Sensei.
I would say that was amazing to see and feel again Chiba Sensei´s energy and Budo temper. I was told that he has retired so the only chance to be in class with him is to attend one of his seminars around the world.
We were really lucky to have him in Chile and for this we thank Taiga Aiki Dojo for bringing us such an Aikido legend to our country.
